With Earth Week 2013 going on in full swing, Fly Gyal wants to do its part in saving the environment by helping you conserve energy!  You may be thinking, how can Fly Gyal help me conserve energy?  Well, that’s easy!  We research spring’s latest trends and report our findings to you every week!  This week we want to present one of our fave earth week inspirations, feathers & fringe.  If worn in good taste, with proper proportions, and tailored to accentuate the figure, feathers and fringe can be your new go-to statement pieces.  However, if you do not follow the previously mentioned recommendations for wear, you will end up looking less-than-ideal or like you’re about to perform in the first act at the Bird Cage Night Club. Have fun, but use discretion.  Feathers look great when added as a colorful graphic to a rocker tee.  They look even better when worn as jewelry or hair accessories.  Fly Gyal especially loves a red feathered mini skirt. Fringe looks great when added to a poppin wedge-heel sneaker, and even better when cut into a 90s grunge vintage tee.  We especially love a strong frayed/fringed denim cut-off short.  Experiment with your favorite feathered and fringed looks and have a greentastic Earth Day!  Do something that will save the planet!
