Paper Cut Stinging? Try This!

By Cody Frank

Ouch! Paper cuts sting. Whether it’s initially when you get one or after you use hand antiseptic you remember it’s there. How to treat these painful little cuts? Well, Fly Gyal we are here to help.

Option 1: Use Mint Leaves by warming a mint tea bag and letting it cool off before placing on the wound. You can also seep a mint tea in a bowl of water and let it cool off. Add some peppermint oil and soak your cut. Mint has a soothing effect on inflammation that has a numbing and cooling effect.

Option 2: Use Aloe Vera that can be purchased at a store in gel form. Look at the ingredients to see the Aloe Vera is from an plant leaf directly. This plant is recommended to help the healing process for minor burns and skin irritations. If your cut is deep, it is recommended not to use it.

If you have a deeper cut, hold pressure on the cut with a clean cloth or bandage for a few seconds. Another option is to the elevate the cut above heart level to slow down the blood flow. Once the bleeding stops, do not keep touching the cut. Next clean around the wound with clean water and soap. If that is not available use hydrogen peroxide or iodine that help to prevent infection and are anti-septic. Place a bandage over the wound to prevent infection. Keep changing bandages daily and check with your doctor that your tetanus shot is up to date.

If the cut is way deep, then go to your local urgent care or emergency room where a professional can help you. Otherwise these tips will help that wound heal.
