Empower yourself and others. Many of you may believe that health is all about the physical. How you look, what size you’re wearing, what you’re eating, how many times you go to the gym, how tan you are, etc. etc. It’s important to reflect and realize health is mental too. Your thoughts create your world. All those abdominal exercises and fad diets will not help you if you are missing a healthy mindset.
In addition, remember it’s healthy and helpful to empower others. Women tend to have the idea that other women are competition. We can end up focusing on what others have instead of what we are. Do not overvalue what others have and undervalue what you have. Everyone is valuable.
Maya Angelou quoted “I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a b*tch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass.” This week FlyGyal will be focusing on empowering yourself.
How do you empower yourself? Here are a few ideas.
E – Exercise – Movement improves your mood.

E – Enlighten – Expanding our connectedness to other ideas, people, and worlds. Or dedicating oneself to causes beyond themselves.
R – Relationships -Whether it’s your family, lover, pet, coworker, or friend having a few buffers when you are struggling will help to uplift you.
Seize this moment and take a step to empower yourself.
“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.” – Nora Ephron
