Dance Trend of the Week: Quirky Cat Eye Sunglasses

mood board

By Jadée Nikita

A good pair of sunglasses is a summer fashion staple.  Not only do they make the perfect accessory to any outfit, but they protect your eyes from the brutal UVA/UVB rays, and prevent wrinkles and crow’s feet in the long run.  When I shop for sunglasses I choose a pair that best compliments the shape of my face.  Cat eye frames or “butterfly frames” are great for my oval-shaped face because they block out more sun, and are large enough to cover any imperfections from an epic long night.  On a more historical note, Jackie O was famous for sporting large butterfly-framed glasses, so they’re automatically a must have!

Since cat eye frames have been around for a long time, the styles have gotten more eccentric and unique.  From bright colored lenses, to extreme winged edges, the designs of these legendary sunglasses have emerged to the extreme.  Check out my favorite quirky cat eye sunglasses below!
