A few tips dancers should keep in mind as they enter the new competition season
The season is starting once again, and like clock work comes master classes and workshops followed by team auditions, rehearsals and winter showcases. It seems that summer flew past us, and we are here again, hoping to the start a fresh season we are faced with the same problems as last year. Most studio owners and competition directors are always faced with three really challenging problems through out the season.
The first is time commitment. Dance does take up a lot of time, and we expect kids, and their families to commit fully, which means at least putting in 3-4 hours a day, 5 days a week. Ironically, we are dance teachers are always complaining we don’t have enough time to ourselves. This season try cutting back, for your sake and the dancers.
