Trend of the Week: Pencil Skirts

By Jadée Nikita

Pencil skirts are the perfect pieces to have in your fashion arsenal when Summer transitions to Fall.  They are especially useful for all those crop tops and petite tees you’ve acquired throughout the summer as well.

For those warm summer days, opt for my favorite fall skirt, the crossover hem.  The gams will feel less restricted when you’re strutting  down your personal catwalk, and the sexy slit in the front adds an extra touch of femininity to your look.

For the more traditional fashionistas out there, a clean-lined pencil skirt in unconventional prints and fabrics will bring you into the modern age.  Leather and suede are must-have materials this season.

Easily change between day and night by accessorizing your look with a cute scarf and sporty crop top, or a brilliant red and gold clutch.  A symmetrical print pops with hints of neon, and never disappoints when paired with a chunky platform heel.
