Healthy Hot Dogs! Celebrating The 4th The Low-Fat Way

Flygyal- Hot Dogs

By Kristin Yancy

Baby Girl Amurrica is turning another year older, and when it comes to the official national nosh, there is only one recipe: 1 part bikini, 1 part grill, and 1 part delicious hot dog (add toppings of choice, to taste).  Sadly, this summer staple is often a terrible health decision: packed with calories, sodium, and fat, and sometimes processed with harmful additives best left out of your system. But wait! Before the nightmare-daydream sets in (you know, the one where you watch your obnoxiously fit guy friends eat 6 hot dogs in a row in front of your gaping, half-crazed, waterproof mascara-ed eyeballs), there is a solution! You can have your hot dog and eat it too! Here is our list of the healthiest hot dog choices for your Independence Day celebrations: now get to grillin’ girl!
